• Compatible with all hobs and in the oven. (An adapter plate is necessary for induction cookers)
• This clay pot is the most commonly used cookware in Morocco. Tagines are hand-crafted from natural clay and fired in the oven. With this tagine, you can prepare various dishes (fish, meat, vegetables) over low heat. Thanks to the gentle cooking, many vitamins are preserved and the ingredients can develop their full flavour.
• Brief guidelines on proper handling and care:
• Before the initial cooking process, the tagine must be soaked in water for about 10 hours. Subsequently, allow it to dry thoroughly.
• Next, the base of the pot should be greased with oil.
• In the tagine, you can prepare stews on the stove or in the oven. Tagines do not endure high heat and should always be heated gradually, ideally at medium heat. If the tagine is placed on a hot stove top or in a pre-heated oven, it may crack. Please note that we cannot guarantee against cracks caused by improper usage.
• The tagine is cleaned with warm water, without detergent. Please do not clean the tagine in the dishwasher.
